The Comité communautaire petite enfance NDG-MTL-O (CCPE) was established to identify needs within the community. They saw the need for a place where children and families could meet and to address the needs of young children 0 to 5 and their families, to improve their health and social well-being. This resulted in the founding of Mosaïk Family Resource Centre in 2004. The Centre created an environment that provides a wide range of programs addressing the many dimensions of family life within a multicultural community and so much more.
The Mosaik Family Resource Centre is a non-profit organization that links families, residing in the territories of Notre-Dame de Grace, Montreal Ouest, Cote St. Luc, Hampstead and Snowdon, in an informal environment of mutual respect and support to affirm their role in society to enable them to enrich the quality of their lives within the community.
We believe in:
The inherent worth of each and every human being and his/her contributions.
The inclusion of people regardless of racial, social, cultural, economic, educational or religious background.
The promotion of democratic process and in all aspects of the organization
The importance of personal and community learning and capacity building
The rights and responsibilities of parents to provide for, to care for, to socialize, to educate
and to create opportunities for their children
Structures that promote partnerships, mutual support, sharing or resources, and volunteerism
A spirit of openness, concern, cooperation and caring
